Two years back no one would have predicted the situation we are witnessing today. Well, evidence of covid were found to quite an extent last February. But the venom it caught was in march. The pandemic had hit the world with a stun. The hospitals rarely had empty beds to accommodate any further patients infected by the vicious covid. Amidst all these crises we overlooked the patterns of the rise of the spread of the virus which has taken over the world in a whip. The most no. Of cases were reported in March and now today we can witness the same pattern being repeated. So what is it about the month of march which adds a tinge of poison to the world? We'll, be learning about the entirety of its cause in this article.
Heading further we need to note that the patients were mostly the ones having a weaker immune system as compared to a normal individual's immune system. The reason why the Italian subcontinent faced one of the most blundering crises was that the majority of their population consisted of senior citizens having faded out their immunity power overtime. Now, your mind might as well pop up with a question regarding why do the older adults having crossed the age 60-65years have their immunity weakened. It's because of the decrease in the natural killer cells which help protect our body and strengthen our immune system.
What's interesting to note here is the number of heart attacks reported in march had an increase of 24% than the regular reports. This is a time when our body gets a little deprived of sleep due to the changing temperature of the season. To initiate sleep our body needs a temperature of 2degrees lesser than the temperature while we are awake. This is the reason why it is easier to fall asleep in a cool environment rather than in a hot one.
On the other hand, when summer is at the point of its sunset and winter is approaching we have witnessed reports which show a 21% decrease in the number of heart attacks. So what exactly is behind this inequality. The reason is a deprived immune system resulting out of sleep-deprived physiology. It is that simple.
Our sleep quality is responsible for determining our daily health and lifestyle to a great extent which people, unfortunately, fail to realise. Not getting 7-8 hours of sleep can decrease our natural killer cell activity by a whopping 70℅. So not only it leads to a weaker immune system but also increases the risk of cancer, panic attacks, anxiety etc which act as hindrances to living our life to the fullest. They also make our skin look aged more than it is. It is said that a man becomes 10 years older when he falls prey to sleep deprivation. It also results in shorter and unhealthy lifespan.
This is one of the most concerning matter of the day especially hit by the pandemic making it worse. So having known about the importance of a good night sleep what can we do to achieve it.
Firstly you need to engage in activities despite what our day asks of us.
Secondly, we need to set a routine for our sleep cycle and not interrupt or disturb it at any cost. Regularity is king and the repetition of the same sleeping pattern will eventually lead you to better health and an enhanced lifestyle.
