Having brushed up on the vanguard of the show, we will today be putting the spotlight on the one who deserves the spotlight anyone else. The vanguard is the vanguard for a reason and Harvey has been playing ut in style since day 1 on account of his utmost compatible co-worker: his secretary Donna Paulsen.
Before we move on repeat the title and observe it phonetically. Inspector's arsenal, isn't that what you thought you pronounced.
That's the the dosage of phonetic innovation for the day.
Donna is the one person in every organisation who is hated by no one. People consider this individual to be a catch. She and Harvey are like mirrors for each other, the most overwhelming fact about their relationship is, Donna has access to what is being discussed inside Harvey's office.
Having her table right outside spectre's Office, she is aware of everything that's cooking inside. Don't mistake it for an act of stealth. Harvey is someone who trusts very few people, but the ones he does he does it like no one.
She is not only his professional paperwork secretary but his emotional secretary as well. She face-reads Harvey like a computer having hacked the operating system of another. Harvey is used to it but still gets surprised on certain occasions.
What we discussed in our previous article about Harvey hiring Mike without a degree forging it to be a Harvard lawyer recruitment is least worthy of mentioning if it were known to Donna or not.
Along with Harvey, she is very compatible with him as well. After all, as portrayed initially he is the younger version of Harvey Spectre.
Her loyalty towards Harvey leads her to lose her job at a point, but as there is always something that numbers fail to justify she gets back to where she was.
Their relationship dates back to the period when Harvey was a newbie associate. Now that he is a senior managing partner in the firm she has to shoulder a lot of responsibilities.
Her best friend Rachel who works as a paralegal turns happens to find herself in a relationship with Mike the younger version of the Vanguard of the firm.
Donna and Rachel turn out to be the best of friends in the entire firm. Even her expressions never tend to slip away from her vigilant face reading dexterity. The day after Rachel and Mike spend together, the first look at Rachel's face whispers it all to Donna.
However, she is not just what we have discussed till now, she caThatn master her own expressions like anything. She uses her mourning face to get out of a troublesome situation without even letting the tiniest bit of a clue of the fact that she was forging it for her own interest.
Donna is someone who is first on the line when in need of help, you think of approaching her and she's there. The show lately makes the viewers aware of the fact that she has a keen interest in literature, especially Shakespeare and his plays. Of course, there are theatres where these shows are enacted even today. Louis a junior partner of the firm tends to share a similar interest and the two get along really well unlike before.
We'll be discussing about the amusing character of Louis Litt soon enough. He spices up the show with a gesture of letting the cat out of the bag. The phrase letting the cat out of the bag amusingly forges a double meaning in itself. However, Donna is helped by Louis in her rehearsals for the Shakespearean play she was about to enact.
Undoubtedly she does a great job along with helping Louis getting over the anxiety of stage fear. She is someone one can never forget. Harvey is never a special mention.
However, due to her exceptional compatibility with Harvey people at times Suspect her of being in love with him. Upon being inquired by the same by her best friend Rachel she tells her that she never looked at it that way. The dialogue which follows tells us rather reveals a lot about the same. It's so often so that people never want to be in a relationship with someone at their workplace. Donna tells Rachel in a very cold voice " Because you can't go back". And that makes it very clear to the viewers what the rumour was all about. That's it for today, thanks for visiting phonetic innovation. Let me know about your experience of visiting us. Feedbacks welcomed.
" Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive, but to be young was very heaven".
- William Wordsworth.
The Harvey-Donna equation (or should I say Darvey) is incredible. She truly knows him better than he knows himself. From the 'can opener' ritual to anticipating his every need before he even knows needs it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this piece. Suits is probably the best law centred series ever made.
